Innovate UK Smart Grant + investment opportunity

We’re elated to announce that SmartStart Health was successful in the July 2024 Innovate UK Smart Grants competition! Smart Grants are highly competitive, with average success rates from 6 to 10%. This cycle was especially fierce, with only 46 successful applications out of 1,348 assessed. We’re honoured to have scored in the top 3.4%.
We’ll receive £185,050 from Innovate UK develop the AI-powered platform for personalised, adaptive diabetes education, building on our successful proof of concept. Smart Grants require 30% matched funding, so need to raise at least £80,000.
With £20,000 committed within 5 days of posting this on LinkedIn (give us a follow), we’re confident and eager to kick off the project in January.
28 December 2024 UPDATE: we’re up to £72,000 in pledges. HMRC granted our SEIS Advance Assurance application, so there’s a tax advantage for UK-based investors. 🎉
